Following the disappointing announcement that the Scottish Software Awards would not run this year, the Open Source Awards have decided to press on.
We got a fantastic reception for our talk at CloudCamp and offers of support and sponsorship from a number of parties.
The next few days should see a number of key announcements including venue, awards dates and sponsorship.
We look forward to flying solo. Open Source is big enough now, has enough momentum and a large enough user base across the IT spectrum.
