We got great news today - ScotlandIS, the trade body for the information and communications technologies (ICT) industry in Scotland, has agreed to sponsor the Open Source Awards 2009.
ScotlandIS's mission statement is to "To foster a world-class technology environment in Scotland that propels the ICT industry to maximise its impact locally, to exploit global opportunity, and to achieve growth and success."
By getting involved in the awards and sponsoring the creativity and innovation that surrounds Open Source, they're certainly doing that.
